The Summer ’67 Dialogue Phase consist of ten public discussions hosted by one of our three Summer ’67 Dialogue partners, during five days in July 2017, running concurrently with the same five days of the 1967 uprising. Select churches, community centers, and college campuses will hold these events. The discussions will address structural racism and related issues that impact poverty and social problems. Big City Films collaborated with the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion and Detroit Equity Action Lab to help facilitate the development of discussion outlines for each event, helping audiences better identify and address their roles in creating positive race and community relations in southeast Michigan.
