The community action phase pulls together those engaged over the last 7 months in the community dialogues and specifically over the 5 days in July in a community action event on July 29, 2017, that celebrates the diverse community by bringing together people from all over Detroit and Metro Detroit to commit to the common good of bridging the gap between those who have and those that don’t at the annual Neighborhood Festival in the heart of one of Detroit’s socially deprived neighborhoods near the start of the Rebellion to break bread and share in hope, peace and love through providing families with support for the upcoming school year.
